Camp Policy
ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
Camp is a place where we embrace youth and work with everyone in various and unique situations. Being at camp is a privilege, and although we will make every effort to maintain that privilege’s availability, there are certain things that are unacceptable. Unfortunately, in the case of one of the following situations, arrangements may be made to send your camper(s) home, at your expense:

Unfortunately, in the case of one of the following situations, arrangements may be made to send your camper(s) home, at your expense:
- Leaving the Campgrounds w/o Permission
- Violent Behavior
- Drug, Tobacco, or Alcohol Possession/Use
- Tampering With, Stealing, or Destroying Camp or Campers’ Property
CELL PHONE POLICY
Camp Waianae is a place for campers to separate themselves from the outside world as much as possible and to enjoy time with their friends, counselor and God - there is no need for technology. Additionally, we want to preserve the safety of your camper(s) at all times while at Camp Waianae, and cell-phone usage can complicate and/or hinder this. Therefore, due to our safety rules and regulations, all cell phones and electronics will be collected and kept in a safe a secure location. If a camper is wanting to call home at any point during the week, they can use the Camp Waianae office phone during any meal.
In case of extreme emergencies, you may contact our main office and we will get you in contact with your camper(s), but please reserve this for emergencies only, as we do not have the capacity for many campers to receive calls. We must keep our phone lines open throughout the week, therefore if there is ever anything involving your camper(s) that you must know about, then we will contact you immediately. If you do not hear from us, then that means that your camper is safe and having a great time!
